A Mother/Father - Child class is for children from the time they can walk and are beginning to develop socialization skills, until they are ready to move into a Preschool I class ( where they can take class without their Parent). The teacher teaches the Parent, who in turn teaches the child. (class duration: 1 hour)
The goals of the class are:- Gross motor skill development
- Acclimation to the gymnastics environment
- Learning that learning is fun!
We use the equipment in our gym to construct numerous fun, safe and exciting environments, with specific movement goals!
Class starts with a short warm up of some gymnastics positions and vocabulary.
Classes include - a tumbling obstacle course- locomotor obstacle course
- hanging and support development
- trampoline (learning how to jump)
- Pit (similar to Sesame Place balls)
Class ends with a summary of class, a thank you and a good bye.
